The old tunnel was fetid and musty. There were stains on the cushions, armies marched through portals from plane to plane like they were doing anything useful. The flux capacitor wasn't even tuned to modern frequencies- if you didn't kick it, it leaked a sickly stream of amber lit consoles, poltergeists and failed physics experiments.
